Our Tiny Tots room is currently closed due to a single confirmed case at the end of last week. All impacted families are aware and no additional infections have been reported in the excluded group.
Please also note that when children are excluded for demonstrating Coronavirus symptoms, they must undergo a full PCR test in order to be eligible to break self-isolation and return to nursery. This UK legal requirement has been in place since the beginning of the pandemic and is not a local setting or education-level policy, so no discretion can be exercised and no exceptions can be made.
Lateral Flow tests are only valid for routine testing of people without symptoms. They have a higher ‘false-negative’ rate and are considered unsuitable for symptomatic testing. Please ensure that the correct test type is arranged to avoid unneccessary delays in being able to return to nursery.
